Bio:
Weijun Shen is a Ph.D. student under the supervision of Dr. Hantang Qin, co-majoring in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering (IMSE) and Mechanical Engineering (M E) at Iowa State University (ISU) supported by CNDE IAB funding, In-line NDE of Metal Powder Quality for Direct Energy Deposition. In 2013, He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Automation. After that, he worked as a teaching lab coordinator for six years at Shanghai Polytechnic University. His research at CNDE involves nondestructive evaluation for metal additive manufacturing based on micro-computed tomography (μ-CT) and structured light system (SLS).
