Bio:

Alexander Vehre is a PhD student in aerospace engineering at Iowa State University with support from Core Parts and Texas Research Institute – Austin. In 2022 he earned his B.S. degree in mechanical engineering specializing in the thermal fluids track at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. His choice to pursue NDE research was inspired by the work he did at Wright Patterson Air Force Base from 2019 to 2022, where he assisted the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Materials and Manufacturing Directorate in advancing data processing methods for the non-destructive evaluation of ceramic matrix composites. His current research involves software development for coordinating NDE systems, as well as studying crack propagation through vibrothermography.
