OBJECTIVES
MAT E 362 L
- Be
able to understand the practical issues associated with the application
of the major techniques for nondestructive evaluation
- Be
able to use an understanding of the underlying physical principles to
interpret the results of experimental observations in terms of the defects
and/or material microstructure of the component under examination
-
Be able to understand how these physical principles lead to procedures
for industrial implementation
- Be
able to select a technique appropriate to a particular application
- Be
able to describe the strengths and limitations of each technique
In
conformance with ABET requirements.
