Welcome from the
Director....to the newly-updated CNDE web site. Some of you may
have frequented our site in the past and others may be readers of
the CNDE News. In this era of instantaneous electronic
communication, CNDE is combining these two functions, allowing us to
concentrate our efforts on making the most current information
available to the broadest community. It is our aim to provide
continuous updates to technical information, complemented by
descriptions of the current status of other important activities
such as the Review of Progress in Quantitative Nondestructive
Evaluation, which will be held this July 29-August 4 in Green Bay,
Wisconsin. This meeting is at a time that allows interested
participants to also attend the internationally acclaimed air show
in Oshkosh,
EAA Air-Venture 2003.
As you peruse this site, we
hope that you will find the information that you need. It is a
'work in progress' and there is much more to come. Please let us
know of your reactions and suggestions.
This is a time of
significant international tension. Fortunately, the pursuit for the
improved reliability of products and structural systems fills a
societal need that transcends many of these issues and is something
that can draw us all together. We very much look forward to seeing
you in Green Bay in July to share in our most recent results and to
lay the foundations for future advances.
We at CNDE wish you a very
productive and enjoyable spring.
